The Paralympic Crunch

Did you hear the crunch at the Paralympic Opening Ceremony?62,000 people in the Olympic Stadium joined Miranda to crunch an apple symbolising Sir Isaac Newton’s famous fruit. This represented his discovery of the Theory of Gravity

Come and discover the famous apple tree for yourself and enjoy the annual, autumn Apple Day activities at his birthplace of Woolsthorpe Manor. Homestay with us and we will transport you the short distance to his home or for the keen walker you may join us on an autumn, English countryside ramble to his home.

The Apple Day takes place on Saturday and Sunday 13th & 14th October but Woolsthorpe Manor is a great destination to visit until it closes for 2012 at the beginning of November.
