Christmas time in an English family home is an experience of a lifetime. This is a magical time for everyone.

Enjoy the excitement of the festive months of November and December, as English people do. These months in English homes are special, preparing and enjoying festive activities of all kinds.

Tasting delicious homemade mince pies

Experience cosy Christmas traditions such as trimming the pretty Christmas tree and baking delicious mince pies to eat and share. Learn about the fascinating history of these traditions.

Learn the table etiquette of afternoon tea

Visit exciting markets and shops with gorgeous Christmas displays and goods to buy. Have fun shopping for Christmas gifts and souvenirs. Enjoy making or simply eating a tasty Christmas style afternoon tea.

Enjoying Christmas Dinner
Enjoy a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Learn how to make a traditional English Christmas Dinner. If you prefer just to eat this instead, then relax and simply experience some delicious Christmas dining.

Enjoy the warmth of the wood burner

Relax in front of the wood burner in the lounge and take home cosy memories of English winter days. Come and have a ‘Merry English Christmas’ time.

7 Day (6 Nights) £985.00

7 Day Example Schedule:

Day 1: Arrival at your homestay destination (p.m.)

Day 2: Making a Christmas Floral Wreath (a.m.)
Enjoy making a festive, floral wreath to display on the door of the house. Take this skill back with you to make a wreath for your own home this Christmas time.

Making Homemade Christmas Cards (p.m.)
Learn about traditional English Christmas card designs. Use different techniques to make cards. Either post these from England or take them home with you to give to your family and friends.

Day 3 Making Christmas Decorations (a.m.)
Study the history and different styles of English seasonal decorations. Create your own from a selection of materials. Take them home and display as an annual reminder of your happy, Christmas style English homestay.

Decorating the tree (p.m.)
Learn the history and technique of trimming an English Christmas tree. Take part in this experience as a practice for any future Christmas tree trimming you choose to do.

Day 4: Christmas Baking (a.m.)
Bake traditional Christmas mince pies and cake to enjoy during your homestay.

Relaxation time (p.m.)
Relax in our comfortable home or explore the many beautiful walks around the surrounding countryside.

Day 5: Shopping (a.m,)
Experience the Christmas displays in the shops and markets. Purchase traditional English Christmas gifts to take home.

Christmas Afternoon Tea (p.m.)
Make and enjoy a Christmas Afternoon Tea with Christmas style table settings.

Day 6: Traditional Christmas Meal Preparation (a.m.)
Learn how to prepare the traditional vegetables, potatoes and roast bird enjoyed by English people for a Christmas dinner. Help if you wish.

Cook the Traditional Christmas Meal (p.m.)
Learn how to cook the delicious Christmas dinner with homemade gravy. Savour the flavour with your hosts as a farewell dinner. Help if you wish.
