**From January to March the garden featured in this visit will be Barnsdale and not Chatsworth House and Garden. Barnsdale garden was created during the production of BBC Gardener's World programme on national television for 17 years. This garden for all seasons is made up of 37 small individual gardens of various styles.

7 Day Example Schedule:

Day 1: Arrival at your homestay destination

Day 2: English Flower Arranging Day (a.m.)
Practise conditioning the beautiful flowers and study the interesting, basic techniques of English flower arranging.

Floral Table Decoration (p.m.)
Learn how to make a cute, round English table decoration for the dinner table. The perfect display for a dinner party.

Day 3: Relaxation time (a.m.)
Relax in the peaceful garden, home, village or surrounding countryside.

Herby Cottage Pie & Pear and Basil Crumble (p.m.)
Help to make this traditional English potato topped pie. You will not forget the flavour of the pear and basil crumble you will bake for dessert.

Day 4: Making Containers (a.m.)
Learn how to make containers for the garden using a variety of material and plants. Make a container for the garden and leave a memory of your time in England.

Traditional Afternoon Tea (p.m.)
Experience learning about afternoon tea before baking scones, with home-made jam and cream. Prepare traditional sandwiches and set the table before sitting down to appreciate the delicious results of your hard work.

Day 5: Introduction to Aromatherapy and Essential Oils (a.m.)
Study the history, meaning and health benefits of aromatherapy and essential oils. Learn how to use aromatherapy technique, carrier oils and essential oils safely for everyday life. Practise an introductory hand massage if you wish and relax!

Relax in the peaceful garden, home, village or surrounding countryside.

Day 6: Chatsworth House and Garden (All day) **
Visit the spectacular Chatsworth House, known as the 'Palace of the Peak.' Chatsworth is a stately home with immense beauty and has one of Europe's leading art collections. It is a popular location for filming period dramas and feature films.

Enjoy the magnificent garden which has been designed over the centuries by Britain's leading garden designers and is a wonderful example of an English landscape garden designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. A visit to the gift shops is a good opportunity to buy high quality presents.
