This homestay is designed for those people who are interested in learning about the beauty of traditional English flower arranging.

You will have the opportunity to select beautifully fresh flowers from the market or shop. Depending upon the season enjoy gathering flowers, interesting foliage and natural materials from the garden.

Day 1: Arrival at your homestay destination (p.m.)

Day 2: Flower Shopping (a.m.)
Visit the market or shops to select flowers. Take the chance to buy your flower arranging equipment for your return home.

Basic flower arranging preparation / techniques (p.m.)
Learn how to condition flowers and foliage for use throughout the week and the basic techniques of English flower arranging.

Day 3: Garden Centre Visit (a.m.)
Visit a local garden centre to look at flower arranging materials you may wish to buy to take back to your home as well as gift shopping.

Floral Table Decoration (p.m.)
Learn how to make a cute, round English table decoration for the dinner table. The perfect display for a dinner party.

Day 4: Relaxation time (a.m.)
Relax in the peaceful garden, home, village or surrounding countryside.

Triangular Floral Display (p.m.)
Learn how to make a well balanced triangular flower arrangement. This is a dramatic arrangement to display against a wall or in an alcove.

Day 5: Horizontal Floral Display (a.m.)
Learn how to make a flowing, horizontal English flower arrangement. This is suitable for a beautiful display on an occasional, side or coffee table.

Garden visit (p.m.)
Visit a pretty English garden to enjoy the seasonal show of flowers and foliage. Enjoy a cup of tea in the garden.
