7 Day Example Schedule:

Day 1: Arrival at your homestay destination (p.m.)

Day 2: Baking Bread (a.m.)
Learn how to bake a traditional and healthy seeded bread loaf and enjoy eating it with wholesome home made soup for lunch.

Shortbread (p.m.)
Learn how to make delicious shortbread, a particular favourite from Scotland and a perfect companion with a cup of tea.

Day 3: Relaxation time (a.m.)
Relax in the peaceful garden, home, village or surrounding countryside.

Chocolate Courgette Cake (p.m.)
Make this modern and delicious cake using fresh courgettes, hazelnuts and mouth watering chocolate. Savour it's flavour as a cake or as a warm dessert.

Day 4: Custard Tart (a.m.)
Enjoy baking this classic English dessert. Custards have featured in British baking for centuries. This combination of tasty pastry, comforting egg custard and distinctive nutmeg is a delight to eat.

Shopping (p.m.)
Visit a local town, modern shopping outlet or antique shop to look for gifts to take home to your friends or for those baking accessories you may need after your time with us.

Day 5: Grantham Gingerbread (a.m.)
Learn how to make this crunchy popular biscuit from a recipe that was created in the 1740's by a local baker.

Relax in the peaceful garden, home, village or surrounding countryside.

Day 6: Victoria Sandwich Cake (a.m.)
Learn how to make the world renowned Victoria Sandwich Cake made famous by Queen Victoria, who loved this cake. Enjoy it this afternoon with afternoon tea. It also makes a great birthday cake for your friends and family. Just add candles!

Experience learning about afternoon tea before baking scones, with home-made jam and cream. Prepare traditional sandwiches and set the table before sitting down to appreciate the delicious results of your hard work.
