Christmas time in an English family home is an experience of a lifetime. This is a magical time of year. Enjoy the excitement of the festive months of November and December, as English people do.


Discover the history of the Christmas tree displayed in most English people's homes at this time of year. These months in English homes are special, preparing and enjoying festive activities of all kinds


Take the opportunity to make pretty decorations, some of which you may like to take back with you to trim your own home for Christmas in years to come.


Learn  how to cook delicious English Christmas food such as mince pies and a roast bird dinner. Learn about the meaning and history of such traditional Festive food.


Relax in front of the wood burner in the lounge and take home cosy memories of English winter days. Come and have a ‘Merry English Christmas’ time. This homestay package is a very enjoyable experience which will provide you with many happy memories. We look forward to sharing our skills and knowledge with you during this cheerful time.

Christmas Experience Homestay Package Price:
4 Day (3 Nights) £605.00

Package includes the following :-

English tutor or tour guide

 4 Day Example Schedule:

Day 1: Arrival, familiarisation with host family and Skillington.
Enjoy a Festive dinner.

Day 2: Making Christmas Decorations and Decorating the Christmas Tree (a.m.)
Learn the history and technique of trimming an English Christmas tree. Take part in this activity and make some handmade trimmings. You may wish to take these home as mementos.

Christmas Afternoon Tea (p.m.)
Make and enjoy a Christmas Afternoon Tea with scones and traditional mince pies. Create pretty Christmas style table settings.

Day 3: Making a Christmas Floral Wreath (a.m.)
Enjoy making a beautiful festive, floral wreath to display on the door of the house. Take this skill back with you to make a wreath for your own home this Christmas time.

Cook the Traditional Christmas Meal (p.m.)
Learn how to cook the delicious English Christmas dinner with homemade gravy. Savour the flavour with your hosts as a farewell dinner.

Day 4: Christmas Style Breakfast (a.m.)
