Soak up the sights of the impressive Chatsworth garden designed by the world famous Lancelot 'Capablity' Brown. Explore the extensive gardens where a surprise awaits you around every corner. The amazing Cascade is unforgettable!


The historic city of Lincoln offers you many memorable sights including the breathtaking Lincoln Cathedral. Have fun searching for the famous, cute Lincoln Imp! Enjoy taking the Lincoln open bus tour which offers excellent photographic opportunities of the best sightseeing locations.

4 Day Example Schedule:

Day 1: Arrival at your homestay destination (p.m.)

Day 2: The Roman City of Lincoln (All day)
Explore the historic city of Lincoln, one of the four main cities of Roman Britain, by taking the informative open top bus ride. Enjoy Lincoln Cathedral, one of the finest Medieval buildings in Europe, which featured in the film The Da Vinci Code.

The cobbled streets of the Cathedral quarter of Lincoln has many specialist shops offering an assortment of antique, craft, book and gift shops. Enjoy the nostalgia of the delicious old-fashioned sweet shop and the fascinating, historical exhibits of English life in bygone years at the interesting Lincolnshire Life Museum. Visit the Ellis Windmill dating from 1798 where flour is still being ground in the traditional way.

Day 3: Chatsworth House & Garden (All day)
Visit the spectacular Chatsworth House, known as the 'Palace of the Peak.' Chatsworth is a stately home with immense beauty and has one of Europe's leading art collections. It is a popular location for filming period dramas and feature films..
Enjoy the magnificent garden which has been designed over the centuries by Britain's leading garden designers and is a wonderful example of an English landscape garden designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. A visit to the gift shops is a good opportunity to buy high quality presents.
